27th February - New Open Sets Pairs League 2024/25 - it has become apparent that there have been concerns/comments, from some members, that the rules are such that sets could be completed before 7 ends have been played and as a result matches would not last a full 2hrs.

It has been agreed therefore to amend Rule 1.2 so that all games will be played to 14 ends (two sets of 7 ends), which equates to a 2 hour game.

If after both sets have been completed the sets are tied either by both teams having won one set, or both sets having been tied on shots, a one end tie break will then be played regardless of the time.

26th February - Outdoor Hoodies - the club is hoping to purchase some "club hoodies" for use outdoors. The cost is £39 provided that we can secure a minimum order of 50 items therefore if you are interested details can be left at the bar, together with your payment of £39. Please get your order in by Friday 8th March so we can get them in time for the start of the outdoor season.

Website / Facebook Updates - whilst the editors of the website and our Facebook page endeavour to keep up with results and news, please let Chris Taylor and/or Helen Jamieson know of any news you feel should be shared. This is especially important as we reach the final stages of club and individual national/county competitions.

Rink Bookings - members are asked to ensure that where a rink is no longer required, especially for National bookings, that the booking is removed from the diary. This will ensure that we can make the best use of spare rinks for rearranged leagues or to allow members to book roll-ups.

Members are also reminded that rinks must be booked for all games, even for a roll-up on an empty rink. Please ensure that rinks are booked via the Bowlr system in advance of your game or on arrival at the club via the monitor by the office.
